Designed by Inga Sempe for Wastberg, The w153 ile multi-purpose light tips it's shade back to the classic clamp lamp designs of the twentieth century. Inga Sempe was always impressed by the clever clamp lamps she saw in her childhood. These simple designs were used in thousands of homes. They were low cost and easily obtainable in almost any hardware store, creating a ubiquitous classic. The aim for w153 ile was to develop this simple idea, and allow for more uses for the basic clamp lamp design, creating a multi-purpose lamp. The flat base allows w153 ile to stand on a flat surface, it can be mounted on the wall, and of course, it will clamp to wherever you need it! This small, but perfectly formed design, looks great in any contemporary interior - on it's own, or in sets of two, three or more......
