Thun, Matteo
Matteo Thun was born in Bolzano Italy in 1952. He studied at the Salzburg Academy under Oskar Kokoschka, and took his degree in architecture in Florence in 1975. Matteo Thun moved to Milan in 1978, where he met, and began a collaboration with the great Ettore Sottsass. In 1981, Matteo Thun was a co-founder of the famous Memphis group, the internationally influential design movement that so shaped events in the eighties. In 1984, after leaving Memphis, he founded the Studio Matteo Thun in Milan. Matteo Thun has won numerous awards around the world for his creative Architecture and designs.
