
Meda, Alberto
Alberto Meda was born in Tremezzina (Como) in 1945. He graduated as Master in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico of Milan in 1969. From 1973 Alberto Meda acted as technical manager of Kartell, supervising the development of various furniture and plastics projects. From 1979 Alberto Meda has worked as a freelance industrial designer for many famous international brands, including: Alfa Romeo, Alias, Alessi, Colombo Design, Ideal Standard, Luceplan, Mandarina Duck, Philips, Olivetti and Vitra. Many designs by Alberto Meda are included in the permanent collections of Museum of Modern Art of Toyama, and The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
