Martinelli, Emiliana
Emiliana Martinelli was born in Lucca in 1949. She graduated from the Art Institute of Lucca Ceramics Section, and later Industrial Design at the ISIA in Florence, the city where she later graduated in Architecture.
Immediately after graduating Emiliana Martinelli joined the family business, founded by her grandfather Plinio and subsequently expanded by her father Elio Martinelli, directed in the 1950s to the design and production of lamps. With her father Emiliana Martinelli, her greatest master, she began a collaboration, developing themes and products that have distinguished the production of Martinelli Luce for more than fifty years. Emiliana Martinelli is president of Martinelli Luce and within the company she has always carried out a dual activity, that of entrepreneur, designer and art director.
There are several lamps designed by her over the years, both for the domestic environment and of a technical nature and which have obtained important international awards including:

Emiliana Martinelli has collaborated since 1965 with architects such as Gae Aulenti and Sergio Asti, and continues to collaborate with important designers outside the company including Studio Orlandini, Marc Sadler, Serge & Robert Cornelissen, Luisa Bocchietto, Paola Navone, Karim Rashid, Alfonso Femia , Gianluca Peluffo and many others.
