Giardini, Ferdi
Born 1959 in Turin, where he lives and works, Ferdi Giardini is first of all a talented sculptor with an impressive list of exhibitions in Italy and abroad. The Ferdi Giardini approach to design comes from various experiences concerning the design and set-up of theatre scenography's made of many different materials (in particular wood, paper and foam-rubber) and construction of models of Architectural projects. In 1995, under the pseudonym Emilio Giar, Ferdi Giardini exhibited at "Dal cucchiaio all'automobile" (From the Spoon to the Car) at the Automotive Museum of Turin, an exhibition that then moved to Stuttgart, Amsterdam and Chicago.
